Dr. Lisa Kroopf, MD

Dr. Lisa R. Kroopf, MD, is a distinguished double board-certified physician in Pain Medicine and Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, with advanced training in regenerative medicine, longevity medicine, and performance medicine.

She specializes in personalized, minimally invasive treatments for active adults experiencing spine, joint, nerve, pain, or mobility limitations—especially those that interfere with activities such as golf, tennis, pickleball, travel, exercise, and an active lifestyle.

Her goal is to help individuals preserve function, recover more effectively, and continue doing the activities they love for years to come.

Spine, Joint & Injury Care

After returning to her hometown of Monterey, California, in 2014, Dr. Kroopf founded Monterey Pain & Spine Institute.

The practice serves as a center for advanced, surgery-sparing treatments focused on spine and joint preservation, interventional pain management, functional recovery, and performance medicine.

Dr. Kroopf’s approach combines careful medical evaluation with targeted treatment strategies designed to identify the source of pain or dysfunction, restore function, and help patients return to meaningful activity whenever possible.

Personal Injury Medical Care

Dr. Kroopf also provides comprehensive medical care for individuals recovering from automobile accidents and other personal injuries.

Her approach to personal injury care goes beyond treating pain. She focuses on identifying and documenting injuries, understanding how those injuries affect function and daily life, and developing an appropriate treatment and recovery plan.

Care may include diagnostic evaluation, review of imaging and medical records, treatment planning, interventional procedures, rehabilitation recommendations, and ongoing assessment of recovery and functional limitations.

Dr. Kroopf and her team also coordinate with attorneys when appropriate and provide organized medical documentation throughout the course of care. Personal injury patients may be treated on lien when approved.
